When ordering PE shrink film, three dimensions matter: width, roll length, and core size. Here is what to know.
Film Width
Available range: 50-3000 mm (custom).
The correct width depends on your bundle circumference plus seal overlap. Too narrow and the bundle is not fully covered; too wide creates excess side fins and wasted film.
Roll Length
Typical roll lengths: 1,000-3,000 meters.
Longer rolls mean fewer changeovers but are heavier to handle. For automatic lines, 1,500-2,500m rolls are common.
Core Size

Film Format
- Single wound — film comes off one side
- Center-folded — film is folded in half for overwrap
- Tubular — continuous tube for bag-style packaging
