TL;DR — OEM & Private Label with Chiswear. We manufacture PE surface protective films, PE/POF shrink films and related packaging films for distributors, brands and contract packagers who put their own logo on the roll. You bring the market, substrate and artwork; we confirm specs, approve samples, then run production under your brand. MOQ, plate fees, lead time and pricing are confirmed upon inquiry — every order is quoted against your width, thickness, print layout and destination port. Start an OEM inquiry → | Read the FAQ
Can I get my own brand printed on the film?
Yes. We run up to 6-colour over-print on the film surface to improve your brand image on the roll. Your logo, contact info, recycling marks, batch code or handling instruction can be printed along the roll — the same printed-film capability we already use for our own branded stock. Print position, colour count and layout file requirement are confirmed on the artwork brief; artwork fees (if any) are quoted per job and confirmed upon inquiry.
What is the MOQ for private label?
There is no single public MOQ because it depends on three variables together: (1) film type and thickness, (2) print colours and layout, (3) destination market and container loading. We quote MOQ per RFQ once we see your target application, expected width, monthly volume and artwork. MOQ, unit price, plate cost and lead time are all confirmed upon inquiry — we do not publish a one-size-fits-all number because it would mislead buyers running small trial orders versus full container programmes.
What can be customised on an OEM order?
OEM/private label covers the film itself, the core, the winding and the outer packaging. The table below lists the items we routinely customise for brand owners — every value is confirmed against your RFQ rather than assumed.
| Customisation item | What you decide | How it is confirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Film type & grade | PE surface protective, PE shrink, POF shrink, etc. matched to your substrate | Against your substrate, application line and required adhesion/shrink level |
| Width, thickness & length | Slit width, mil/micron thickness, roll length in metres or feet | Confirmed on spec sheet; thickness chosen by application (see FAQ thickness guide) |
| Adhesion level | Low / medium / high tack in g/25mm, matched to substrate and dwell time | Tested on your actual substrate sample before mass production |
| Brand print on film | Logo, brand colour, website, recycling mark — up to 6 colours | Artwork PDF/AI supplied by you; layout and plate fee confirmed upon inquiry |
| Film colour / tint | Clear, blue, milky white, black, custom tint | Confirmed against Pantone reference where colour match is required |
| Core size | 3 inch (76 mm), 2 inch (50 mm), or other core ID | Matched to your dispenser / applicator requirement |
| Inner wrap & label | Polybag, printed inner label with your brand and batch code | Label artwork supplied by you; content text confirmed by you |
| Carton / pallet marking | Shipping marks, carton labels, pallet tagging in your brand language | Confirmed on packing instruction sheet you approve |
How does the OEM / private label process work?
We keep the same four-step flow for every private label programme, regardless of film type. It is deliberately simple because most of our customers are distributors and contract packagers who already know their market — they do not need us to re-teach the product.
| Step | What happens | What you provide |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tell us your market & application. Which substrate are you protecting or packaging? Where does the film live (factory line, construction site, retail shelf)? How long does it stay on before removal? | Substrate sample or description, end-use, expected dwell time, destination country |
| 2 | Spec confirmation. We propose film type, thickness, adhesion level, width/length and print layout, and send a draft spec sheet. Any item you do not agree to is revised. | Your target width/length, core size, monthly volume, artwork file |
| 3 | Sample approval. We cut a sample roll (or sample swatch for shrink film) with your print layout so you can test adhesion on your real substrate and check the brand colour on your end. | Substrate pieces to test on, and sign-off on the printed sample |
| 4 | Custom production. Once sample is approved, we run production under your brand packing, QC batch check, palletise and ship to your nominated port or warehouse. | Shipping mark instruction, consignee details, PO |
How is quality controlled on an OEM run?
We work under the same quality system for OEM orders as for our own branded stock. Our production is operated under ISO 9001-based quality procedures, with SGS-aligned batch testing and CE-aligned documentation for orders that require it. Each batch is checked for thickness, adhesion, roll winding and print registration before packing; the batch test report is available to you on request. Exact test items on your spec sheet are confirmed with our factory upon inquiry — we do not publish a generic QC checklist because different substrates require different peel and residue tests.
Can you do private label on carpet protection film and shrink film too?
Yes — private label is not limited to one product line. We run OEM programmes across:
- PE surface protective film for profiles, sheets, panels, stainless steel, glass, carpet and floors — see carpet protection film manufacturer for the carpet line specifically.
- PE shrink film for beverage multipacks, cans, bottles, industrial bundles — see PE shrink film manufacturer.
- POF shrink film for high-clarity retail packaging — see POF shrink film manufacturer.
For custom-printed shrink film specifically, our blog on custom printed PE shrink film covers the artwork and multipack branding angle in more detail.
What do I need to send to start an OEM inquiry?
To turn your inquiry into a real quote (rather than a placeholder price), please include as many of these as you can on the contact page:
- Film type you want private-labelled (protective / PE shrink / POF shrink / other)
- Substrate or end application (e.g. aluminium profiles, carpet, bottled water)
- Width, thickness, roll length — or “recommend” if you want us to propose
- Monthly or annual target volume
- Artwork file (logo, brand colour, layout) — even a draft PDF helps
- Destination port or warehouse, and any certification / labelling requirement for your market
Ready to put your brand on the roll? Tell us your application and artwork on the contact page — we will come back with a spec sheet draft, sample plan and confirmed MOQ/lead time. Common questions on thickness, coverage, adhesion and samples are answered on the FAQ page.
